All natural sytems have periods of chaos and disorder. Suffering and ignorance stem from this primal state of shadow.
Darkness shines the light. Were there no destruction, there would be no creation.
Human discoveries have been in both the realms of light and the dark. If one chooses, they can be seen as equally beautiful. Journeys through fear lead to growth. For this reason fear is a genuine and useful gift. Supressing darkness does not eliminate it, no, it festers and ruptures. Delving into the chasm is the only way to sift through strife and harvest the crystal nuggets so lovingly wrapped in entropy.
The disruptive attributes of chaos allow agents of change to enter a system and create previously unfelt effects. Harmony however, requires equillibrium, and such comfortable states are very slow to change. A period of harmony always follows a period of chaos, the level of complexity of the period of chaos seems to be related to the degree of integrity in the following period of harmony. The amount of flowing energy contained within a system can be observed by noting the frequency of cycle changes (i.e. how often they occur). These frequencies can be noted in all scales of the matter/energy complexity known as the universe/existence.
Perhaps this is an assumption, but it seems to me that life is defined by change, if energy did not cycle from one state to another, it would not be alive. When a living thing becomes completely still, it is generally considered to be no longer living. Living things are chaotic in that they are constantly changing, but harmonious in that they are able to integrate and hold a chosen form with which to navigate existance.
Not only do systems cycle between states of chaos and order, but they are also in both states simultaneously.
I am enjoying the interplay of energies that is occuring at this particular coordinate. It seems as though new complexities are emerging very quickly, this suggests to me that our energy state as a global organism is increasing rapidly in amplitude. When a system reaches a high enough energy state, it changes form (carbon, coal, diamond).
